DESCRIPTION

Half Face Blades' best seller in a folding-blade option.
8.5" overall open, 3.1" blade, .15" thick, magna-cut American steel, nitride coating, machined solid billet 6AL-4V Titanium Type 2 anodizing body, anodized aluminum pocket clip, push button blade lock
New Pocket clip is .015" closer to frame. new clip is from frame .030", old clip is .045"
  • Body is monolithic, machined from a single billet and ensuring more rigidity. This also means less components are used, meaning less fail points.
  • Locking mechnism is adopted from the gen3 SHPOS, however with improved spring tension. Components are stainless steel and nitride coated, meaning they will wear in over time as opposed to wearing out.
  • Dual, sealed roller bearings are pressed into the frame with the pivot pin captive within the blade, preventing blade wiggle and ensuring dirt won't interfere with the action of the blade
  • Pocket clip is reversible with custom opposing insert to eliminate exposed holes
  • Push button blade lock release has a break in period.
Please allow break in period for push button locking mechanism. The break in period will allow the button to become a smooth press over time. As the blade and button break in and the action gets tighter use gun oil to drip into the pivot. You can adjust the tightness by doing this. Over time with dirt and moisture build top from daily use and in your pocket use the oil accordingly

5 of 5 Beautiful, Wicked Sharp December 15, 2023

Not much else to say. Feels beautiful, looks beautiful, sounds beautiful. The break in is no joke either, this things is stiff and sticky at first, but I can feel it slowly starting to break in and smooth out.

The sound of flipping a monolithic folder is quite unlike anything else, and this one is actually made in the USA. I'm thrilled I grabbed a Gen2, because HFB folders feel like they will genuinely last a lifetime and any subtle improvements are very welcome.

10/10 knife, probably my new all time favorite.
